Sports - Great Golf Tips For Beginners

Tips for Golf Beginners
If you have played golf a couple of times, you know how addictive it can be. Golf is a great game, but it can be complex. Here are some tips to get acquainted with the game of golf as well as equipment that is needed when you first begin playing golf on a regular basis.
You can spend thousands of dollars on golf equipment, but the truth of the matter is if you are a beginner save your money until you have mastered the basics and know enough about your golf style to buy equipment properly. You don't need that much to start. You can always rent clubs or you can buy decent clubs that won't cost that much. A decent golf set can be had for less than $400 and if you have a good pair of shoes for the course that is all that is really needed. Later on as your game improves you can hand pick each putter, woods and irons, but for now just start off with a basic set that fits or feels right.
You might want to take a few lessons to learn the basics. While you probably have a friend or two that will be willing to show you the right way to golf, professional instruction may be a better choice. This way you're instructor can tell you the truth about your game and not hide how bad your game is so he doesn't upset you.
There are also lots of DVD videos that you can watch and books to read on the theory of golf. So if you are starting out, check out some of the above tips and enjoy the game of golf.

Golf Tips If you are like me - and I suspect you are because you are here reading this blog in order to find a golf lesson - your golf game leaves a lot to be desired. The most difficult thing for me has been finding a consistent swing that is mechanically correct. I would hit a nice 250 yard drive on one hole and then go for about 100 yards on the next. Following is a basic golf lesson I found that help improve my golf swing. 1) Exercise. Like all games, golf involves the use of muscles. Exercise helps train your muscles to respond consistently time after time. If you have ever trained using free weights you understand what I mean. The first time you try a bench press your arms are wobbly and it is somewhat difficult to hold the bar motionless. Over time your supporting muscles become used to the motion and you can easily control the bar. The same holds true for your golf swing. If you exercise and target the appropriate muscles you will be able to get consistent results every time... |
